The Oracle is the new, unique oral mask for the delivery of CPAP, Bi-Level or autoCPAP therapy. The Oracle delivers pressure through the mouth instead of the nose, giving patients an alternative to nasal treatment. Instead of creating a seal around the nose as most masks do, it creates a seal around the mouth. During oral CPAP therapy, the pressure will push the soft palate towards the roof of the mouth, sealing off the upper airway and preventing air flowing out through the nose. Air is then directed down the airway, just as in nasal CPAP delivery. A heated humidifier is required for compliance. The Oracle is NOT an oral appliance and therefore does not require orthodontic or dental fittings.
